How does BOTOX COSMETIC® work?

BOTOX® is a neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes the wrinkle-causing muscles by blocking the nerve signals to the muscles. As the treated muscles relax, dynamic wrinkles and fine lines created by their contractions soften and sometimes disappear completely resulting in smooth skin.

What should I expect during the treatment?

When will I see results?

You may begin to notice beautiful and natural looking results over the two weeks following your treatment. We advise our patients to expect peak results after 4 to 6 weeks and to bear this in mind when planning for a special event.

How long will results last?

Results typically last for 3 to 4 months. We recommend regular touch ups every 3 to 6 months to maintain optimal results. BOTOX® is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment, the wrinkles will gradually return.

How long is the recovery time after treatment?
